Malpas is very pretty village in South West Cheshire, steepped in history. It has many fine architectural features, and is a great base for exploring the surrounding area
It lies on the border of Shropshire, and Wales, and in the 2011 Census, has a population of 1,673. This is now growing rapidly with several new housing developments and is very desirable – being 30 minutes from Chester.
It has fantastic primary and secondary school, with many families moving to the area to avail themselves of the education at Bishop Heber High School.
The school is a comprehensive secondary school, and is named after Reginald Heber, who was an English bishop born in Malpas and is now remembered chiefly as a hymn-writer.
There was once a Train Station at Hampton, nearby, but that has now closed. The nearest Train Station is at Whitchurch, approx. 15 minutes away by car.
There is a fantastic selection of restaraunts to sample, and a beautiful Anglican Church to explore.
